If you’re planning an Ottawa wedding in 2026, the biggest question when dress shopping is always timeline. Because our designers are Canadian and operate smaller ateliers, rush production can dramatically shorten the process.
Our couture designers Ouma, Kathryn Bass, and Pearle are all located in Canada, which means that you can get your custom wedding dress in a fraction of the time of the big manufacturers!
We are taking it one step further making COMPLIMENTARY RUSH PRODUCTIONS for all purchases made March What does that mean for you? If you've been eyeing a gown from but worried you wouldn't receive the gown in time, fear not!
In regular production, all our dresses take approximately 6-12 months to arrive once ordered. Each dress is not only designed in Canada, but is sewn in their each individual atelier! No mass manufacturing here.
Remember, you must leave time to factor in alterations, approximately 3 months. We are covering all STANDARD rushes!

August 2026 Brides
August brides, you’re in an okay spot still. That means your dress could arrive early to mid-summer, leaving time for rush alterations before your wedding. Don't worry, we can do those in house to too!
Alterations normally take about three months, but experienced seamstresses often complete them faster when needed, something Ottawa brides do every season.
September 2026 Brides
September brides, this is your sweet spot.This promotions gives you July and August for alterations, which is exactly the timeline we aim for in alterations, it majorly avoids any alteration fees!.
October 2026 Brides
October brides, you’re basically getting bonus breathing room.
Your gown could arrive June or July, leaving plenty of time for multiple fitting a calm final fitting well before your wedding month

Some designers offer Super Rush production for earlier summer weddings. Normally this comes with a higher fee, but during our March promotion we’ll cover the standard rush cost, and you simply pay the difference to upgrade to Super Rush.
Appointments at Always Knew I Needed are intentionally limited so every bride gets a relaxed, one-on-one experience. If you’re an Ottawa bride getting married between August and October 2026, we highly recommend booking your appointment this month to take advantage of the rush promotion.
